About Me

I’m a Creative Lead living in Cowes on the beautiful Isle of Wight, literally a stone’s throw away from Southampton and Portsmouth!

I specialise in art direction, brand development and visual design – whether that be print or digital. I am passionate about graphics, typography and layout design, and I am inspired by a blank canvas. Co-founder and designer at wotUwant.

When I’m not working I’m usually watching films, designing ‘something’ or taking photos. I love gadgets, technology and learning new skills.

Always looking for new opportunities and creative endeavours.

The future – the way I see it!

    Fast forward to the future!

Print is still an important part of a graphic designer’s portfolio, however as most companies become ever conscious of their environmental impact, I believe the use of paper, card and plastics in graphic design will soon be overtaken by their digital counterparts – if it’s not already so, with social media advertising etc.

The future for graphic design will be more in ‘experience design’. Designers will need to be thinking about how their designs offer an emotive experience to their audience.

Digital advertising frames and billboards will offer more than an incentive (– like 60% off the next time you are buying from your favourite shopping site) – it will in fact be your shopping site – it will know who you are, what you like, how often you buy and probably how much you spend! It will display this in a way that only you can see it on mobile devices or even virtual reality contact lenses! It will be a truly digital experience.

Designers will need to express themselves in 3D, use augmented or virtual reality, and have a more technology-centric approach.
